Collecting acorns for Kane County Forest Preserve

Don't forget that the Kane County Forest Preserve is looking for help shoring up their oak tree population. They are accepting acorns from bur, white and black oaks through October 12th. See Dayani if you have acorns to send or plan to collect them soon.

Beach clean-up

The NEIU Earth Science Club will kick off Earth Science week with a beach clean-up and they are welcoming participation from other clubs.

Location: Fullerton Ave Beach
Date: Sunday, October, 14th 2012
Time: 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

The Earth Science Club will provide gloves and garbage bags. It is being done through the Alliance for the Great Lakes Adopt-a-Beach program. They will need a head count by Friday, October 5th, so if you're interested, click here to RSVP directly to Maggie.
